I worked with the Sports Icon team to develop a clear brand identity and go-to-market strategy that put the fan experience at the centre of everything.
Brand and positioning: We developed messaging that led with the emotional value — being closer to the athletes you love — rather than the blockchain mechanics.
Community building: Prior to launch, we built anticipation through social media, targeted outreach to sports communities, and early-access waitlists.
Launch execution: The launch was a coordinated effort across social, email, and press that created urgency and social proof simultaneously.
The Results
The launch exceeded expectations across every metric. 9,000 NFTs sold out rapidly, generating over $1.4M in sales within 14 hours. The profile built during the campaign contributed directly to a successful $5.5M seed round.
